C63 XXX private number plate

C63 XXX presents a distinctive prefix-style registration with a clear automotive connection. The registration directly mirrors a widely recognised Mercedes-AMG trim level, specifically the C63 performance variant. This close association is likely to appeal to owners, enthusiasts, or admirers of this prestigious automotive line.

The prefix format, with one letter followed by two numbers and three letters, originates from the August 1985 to July 1986 era. While this specific registration was released to the open market via DVLA auction in 2012, its format shares a stylistic kinship with registrations from that period. It sold for £1,320 (hammer price). With auction fees, the estimated total paid by the buyer was £1,711. The inclusion of repeated letters in the final three characters adds a degree of visual symmetry and memorability to the overall registration.

The number 63 within the registration also holds significance, generally positioning it within a more sought-after numerical band compared to higher numbers. Combined with the "C" initial and the subsequent triple "X" characters, the registration offers a compact and visually appealing six-character layout. This kind of combination has broad appeal, with many buyers prioritising a personal connection through initials or a recognisable word or phrase.
