About private number plate CIG 6
CIG 6 is a four-character dateless registration with a three-letter, one-number layout. Its short format and the presence of a low number make it an appealing option for personal use. The number 6, being a single digit, is generally considered to have stronger appeal than higher numbers.
The initials CIG are of decent popularity, suggesting a potentially broad buyer pool for this registration. As a dateless plate, it has the clean look associated with registrations from earlier eras, which often holds significant collector interest. This style of plate does not show a year identifier, offering a timeless aesthetic.
This registration was released to the open market via DVLA auction in May 2016. It sold for £2,600 (hammer price). With auction fees, the estimated total paid by the buyer was £3,370.
Plate Circle brings together number plate history, value context, for sale listings, spotted records and verified sold-price history where available.
