FBS 6 private number plate

FBS 6 is a four-character dateless registration with a classic three-letter, one-number format. Such short, dateless plates are particularly sought after, offering a clean and distinctive look associated with earlier registration eras. The number 6 positions FBS 6 within the desirable single-digit band, typically more appealing than plates with double-digit numbers.

As a dateless registration, FBS 6 does not show a year identifier, contributing to its timeless appeal. Plates of this format, originally issued in the period broadly between 1932 and 1953, are highly collectible. This particular registration, FBS 6, was released to the open market via DVLA auction in 2021. It sold for £4,260 (hammer price). With auction fees, the estimated total paid by the buyer was £5,470. The initials FBS are considered to have decent popularity, suggesting a broad potential audience of buyers.
