HHB 2 private number plate

HHB 2 is a four-character dateless UK number plate. Its short, clean format is highly desirable, featuring three letters followed by a single number. Privately held registrations of this style and length, particularly those with dateless formats and a single-digit number, are often sought after by collectors.

The number 2 positions this registration towards the beginning of the numerical sequence for dateless plates, making it generally more appealing than plates with higher numbers, especially when combined with a desirable initials set. The "HHB" initials offer a strong potential for personal connection, appealing to individuals whose names start with these letters.

This registration was released to the open market via DVLA auction in 2017. It sold for £3,000 (hammer price). With auction fees, the estimated total paid by the buyer was £3,888. Such a format, where a distinct set of initials is paired with a low, single-digit number, has consistently demonstrated strong appeal among buyers seeking personalised registrations with a clean, classic look.
