IMZ 2 private number plate

IMZ 2 is a four-character dateless UK private registration with a distinct three-letter followed by one-number layout. Its short format contributes to its clean and highly visible appearance, a characteristic often sought after by collectors and enthusiasts of dateless registrations. The number 2 is a standalone low number, ranking it more prominently than plates with higher numerical values within comparable formats.

The initials IMZ present a relatively uncommon combination, offering a degree of individuality for owners seeking a personalised mark. While the initials are of niche to low demand, this also suggests a greater rarity, appealing to buyers who value distinctiveness. The plate's structure, IMZ 2, has the look of an early registration, a style that remains popular for its classic aesthetics.

This registration was released to the open market via DVLA auction in 2026. It sold for £7,010 (hammer price). With auction fees, the estimated total paid by the buyer was £8,664.
