MDS 7 private number plate

MDS 7 is a dateless private number plate with a clean, four-character format. Its letters-first, three-letter-one-number layout is highly desirable and has the timeless look associated with dateless registrations. As a cherished registration, it originates from a period when such short, distinctive plates were first introduced.

The number 7 is a low single digit, typically carrying stronger appeal than higher numbers within the dateless range, and fewer digits generally result in a shorter, more impactful registration. The initials MDS are considered strong, suggesting a broad potential buyer audience.

This plate is suitable for individuals seeking to personalise their vehicle with their initials, offering a clear and memorable reading. The format, MDS 7, presents a balanced and easily recognisable combination.

MDS 7 was released to the open market via DVLA auction in 2002. It sold for £4,900 (hammer price). With auction fees, the estimated total paid by the buyer was £6,333.
