MSK 9 private number plate

MSK 9 is a four-character dateless registration from the Cheshire area. Dateless registrations, issued prior to the introduction of the current style in 2001, have a clean, timeless look associated with earlier registration eras. The format of three letters followed by one number is classic and has been historically desirable.

As a short, dateless combination, MSK 9 has broad appeal. The number 9 is a very low single digit, and such numbers often possess a distinct visual presence. The initials MSK are of decent popularity, suggesting a wider potential pool of interest from individuals seeking their initials. Personal connections are a significant driving factor for many buyers of private registrations, with initial-based plates being the most common reason for purchase.

This registration was released to the open market via DVLA auction in 2017. It sold for £6,400 (hammer price). With auction fees, the estimated total paid by the buyer was £8,294.
