OFP 1 private number plate

The dateless registration OFP 1 presents a compelling proposition for discerning collectors. Its character combination and the inclusion of the number 1 give it significant appeal, reflecting a desirable and finite format. As a dateless registration, it possesses the clean look associated with earlier UK plates, not showing a year identifier. This style of registration, particularly those with a letters-first format and a single digit, is highly regarded for its historical significance and visual simplicity.

OFP 1 is a four-character registration of the three letters followed by one number format. The presence of the number 1 is a key feature, making it the pinnacle number for the OFP initials. Such a prominent number is generally significantly more sought after than the same initials paired with a higher number. The short, straightforward layout of OFP 1 contributes to its overall desirability, making it memorable and easy to display.

This registration was released to the open market via DVLA auction in 2020. It sold for £9,090 (hammer price). With auction fees, the estimated total paid by the buyer was £11,672.
