OSK 1 private number plate

OSK 1 is a four-character dateless registration. Its highly desirable short format, combining just three letters with a single number, is a hallmark of early UK registrations. The number 1 is positioned at the end of the registration, a placement often considered the pinnacle for matching initials, signifying a unique prominence. This structure naturally lends itself to personalised use, offering a strong initial appeal.

The OSK initials have mid-market popularity, suggesting a broad potential to connect with a wide audience, while the dateless nature of OSK 1 gives it a clean, timeless aesthetic, free from the year identifiers found on more recent registrations. This type of registration, with minimal characters and a prominent number, is highly sought after by collectors and individuals seeking distinctive personal plates.

The sequence OSK 1 was released to the open market via DVLA auction in 2025. It sold for £22,500 (hammer price). With auction fees, the estimated total paid by the buyer was £28,890.
