THG 2 private number plate

THG 2 is a distinctive four-character dateless registration with a strong appeal for personal initials. As a dateless plate, it offers the clean, timeless look associated with registrations from the earliest issuing periods. The format is three letters followed by a single number, presenting a clear and concise sequence.

The number 2, being a very low single digit in the dateless market, carries inherent appeal. Such numbers typically feature prominently in desirable formats, especially when paired with distinct initials. The pattern of a short, dateless registration with a low number such as this tends to attract interest from collectors seeking significant registrations.

The initials THG are considered to have decent popularity, suggesting a broad potential buyer pool. This combination of a short, dateless format, a very low digit, and widely recognisable initials makes THG 2 a strong contender for those looking for a personal registration that stands out.

This plate was first released to the open market via DVLA auction in February 2019. It sold for £2,600 (hammer price). With auction fees, the estimated total paid by the buyer was £3,370.
