TXG 1 private number plate

TXG 1 is a striking four-character dateless registration. As a number 1 plate, it represents the pinnacle for any initials it might represent, offering a particularly strong and significant reading. The short, compact format enhances its visual appeal, a characteristic highly valued in dateless registrations.

This registration is a cherished plate, signifying its status as a pre-1963 format. Cherished registrations hold appeal for collectors drawn to their historical associations and distinctive style. The letters first, number last layout is a classic configuration, often associated with the earliest periods of vehicle registration.

TXG 1 was released to the open market via DVLA auction in 2017. It sold for £4,000 (hammer price). With auction fees, the estimated total paid by the buyer was £5,184. This registration format, with a single digit following three letters, is generally considered more desirable with fewer characters, and number 1 is universally recognised as the most sought-after digit. The initials TXG, while not the broadest in terms of demand, offer a unique and personal touch for the right owner.
