About private number plate UGZ 8
UGZ 8 is a four-character dateless registration in a three-letter, one-number format originating from Northern Ireland. This format, with its short and clean presentation, holds significant appeal for collectors. The number 8 is a low single-digit, which generally carries appeal due to its brevity and visual impact. The initials UGZ are considered niche with lower demand, suggesting a distinct identity for the owner.
The registration could be of interest to enthusiasts of BMW M models, particularly those familiar with the Z range. The characters 'Z' and '8' within UGZ 8 directly mirror elements associated with the BMW Z3 M, Z4 M, and Z8 models, offering a potential connection for owners or admirers of these performance vehicles.
UGZ 8 first entered circulation through a DVLA auction in 2025. It sold for £3,500 (hammer price). With auction fees, the estimated total paid by the buyer was £4,494.
Plate Circle brings together number plate history, value context, for sale listings, spotted records and verified sold-price history where available.
