UKZ 8 private number plate

UKZ 8 is a distinctive four-character dateless registration with a letter-number format, originally issued in Northern Ireland by the Antrim authority. Its short, clean appearance is amplified by the single digit '8' at the end, a well-recognised feature on dateless plates.

The registration carries strong appeal for owners of BMW M models, particularly those with the Z designation. The 'Z' in UKZ directly mirrors the iconic BMW Z3 M, Z4 M, or Z8, making it a fitting choice for enthusiasts of these performance vehicles. This direct correspondence offers a clear motoring link, potentially interesting a dedicated segment of car owners.

Furthermore, the structure of UKZ 8 makes it an attractive option for individuals seeking personal initials. The 'UKZ' letters represent a clear set of initials, and the '8' offers a recognisable number element. With single digits typically holding significant collector appeal over multi-digit numbers and shorter plates generally favoured for their visual clarity, UKZ 8 presents a well-balanced combination.

This particular registration was first released to the open market via DVLA auction in 2017. It sold for £1,800 (hammer price). With auction fees, the estimated total paid by the buyer was £2,333.
