VIG 9 private number plate

VIG 9 is a four-character dateless registration. This format, consisting of three letters followed by one number, offers a clean and memorable appearance, a style that is often favoured by collectors. The number 9 is a low single digit, typically possessing stronger appeal within the number hierarchy due to its fewer digits and shorter visual profile. The letters VIG present a classic three-letter initial combination.

This registration was released to the open market via DVLA auction in April 2022. It sold for £4,040 (hammer price). With auction fees, the estimated total paid by the buyer was £5,187. As a dateless plate, VIG 9 does not display a year identifier, contributing to the timeless look associated with such registrations. The registration has a direct appeal to individuals whose initials are VIG, and a broader appeal to those seeking a short, distinctive four-character mark.
