WDZ 6 private number plate

WDZ 6 is a four-character dateless registration with a letters-first layout. Its short format is a key appeal, offering a clean and memorable appearance often sought after by collectors and individuals looking for personal identification. As a dateless registration, it does not display a year identifier, contributing to its timeless look.

The number 6, being a standalone low number, holds particular significance. Registrations containing single digits from 2 to 9 typically possess stronger appeal than those with double or triple digits, due to their fewer characters and streamlined aesthetic.

WDZ 6 carries the initials WDZ, which are considered niche in terms of demand, suggesting a degree of rarity for those seeking these specific initials. The personal connection to initials is a leading purchase motivation for many acquiring private registrations.

This particular registration was released to the open market via DVLA auction in 2015. It sold for £1,100 (hammer price). With auction fees, the estimated total paid by the buyer was £1,426.
