WES 6 private number plate

WES 6 is a four-character dateless UK private registration. Its three letters followed by one number format is associated with the earliest registration eras, offering a clean and compact appearance. Such short, dateless plates typically hold strong appeal for collectors.

The number 6 is a low digit, which generally contributes to a desirable registration. As a dateless plate, WES 6 does not show a year identifier, giving it the timeless look associated with registrations from earlier periods. The format of three letters followed by a single number is considered very desirable in the collector market.

For collectors interested in personal initials, WES provides a solid foundation. The popularity estimate for WES initials is generally considered decent, suggesting a broad appeal among potential buyers. This registration can be used to represent the initials WES, making it suitable for individuals seeking a direct personal connection.

This registration was released to the open market via DVLA auction in 2025. It sold for £10,210 (hammer price). With auction fees, the estimated total paid by the buyer was £12,620.
