YES 69 private number plate

The registration YES 69 comprises five characters in a three-letter, two-number format. This dateless style, with its clear layout, does not show a year identifier, presenting a clean and timeless look often sought by collectors. It offers the potential for representing initials or a personal sequence.

This particular registration was released to the open market via DVLA auction in 2021. It sold for £17,010 (hammer price). With auction fees, the estimated total paid by the buyer was £21,841. The format itself, however, belongs to a style that was in circulation from around 1932 to 1953. This earlier era of registration is generally considered highly collectible.

The initials represented are YES, which may appeal to individuals whose name, surname, or even a favoured saying begins with these letters. While the popularity of the YES initials is considered niche, their directness offers a strong visual reading. The number 69, as a double-digit number in the 10-99 band, typically holds stronger appeal than higher-digit numbers and contributes to the plate's concise five-character length.
