Plate Circle Auctions

Sell your number plate at auction

A curated evening of UK private registrations. Every lot is reviewed by Plate Circle before it goes public.

How submission works

  1. You share your plate details and what you're hoping to achieve.
  2. You upload ownership/entitlement evidence and ID, reviewed privately by Plate Circle.
  3. If approved, we'll schedule your plate into a future auction evening and confirm with you.

Curated, not open listing

Submitting a plate does not guarantee acceptance into a Plate Circle Auction. Each plate is reviewed before it goes public.

Evidence reviewed privately

Certificate scans, ID and supporting documents are reviewed privately by Plate Circle. They are never displayed publicly and are stored in a private bucket.

No public auction until approved

Nothing about your plate becomes public until Plate Circle approves the plate and schedules it into an auction evening.

No automatic ownership claims

Plate Circle may request evidence but does not guarantee ownership, entitlement, transferability, assignment suitability or DVLA approval. You must confirm that you have the right to sell or act on behalf of the entitled party.

What we may ask for

  • An authority letter where the seller is acting as a nominee or agent
  • Photo ID for the seller
  • Proof of address
  • Any optional supporting document you'd like reviewed
