2 MS private number plate

2 MS is a concise, dateless UK private registration with one number followed by two letters. This three-character format creates a short, memorable display. The number 2 is a single digit, which typically carries stronger appeal than registrations with more digits. The layout 2 MS features the initials MS, which is a set with top-tier popularity, indicating broad appeal among potential buyers.

This specific registration was first released to the open market via DVLA auction in 1994. It sold for £10,100 (hammer price). With auction fees, the estimated total paid by the buyer was £13,054. The format, a single number followed by two letters, is associated with the earliest registration era, and its clean look and brevity contribute to its desirability. Registrations such as 2 MS are often sought after for personal initials, offering a distinctive way to personalise a vehicle.
