6 JCO private number plate

The 6 JCO registration offers a clean, four-character format and a numbers-first, dateless layout. Its single-digit number, 6, contributes to a desirable short profile, often appealing to buyers seeking brevity and distinctiveness. The registration is composed of the number 6 followed by the initials JCO. Dateless registrations, such as this one, do not display a year identifier, giving them a timeless appearance that is frequently sought after by collectors. Issued in the era of dateless registrations, this format has a long association with earlier vehicle registration systems in the UK.

The desirability of 6 JCO is supported by its concise structure and its potential for personalisation, appealing to individuals looking for a distinctive mark for their vehicle. The combination of a low number and three letters offers strong visual appeal. This type of registration typically interests buyers who value the straightforward, uncluttered look that predates more modern formats. The registration was released to the open market via DVLA auction in 2021. It sold for £12,000 (hammer price). With auction fees, the estimated total paid by the buyer was £15,408.
