6 TET private number plate

6 TET is a four-character dateless registration with a numbers-first layout. Its short format and the appeal of a low single-digit number make it a strong candidate for personal use. The number 6 is a pleasing figure, and combined with the letters TET, offers a clean and memorable registration.

The letters TET comprise a decent set of initials, offering broad appeal to individuals whose names or surnames begin with these letters. Research indicates that personal connections, such as matching initials or names, are the leading motivations for acquiring private number plates. The 'one number followed by three letters' format for dateless plates is a classic style, often associated with the earliest periods of vehicle registration in the UK. Such registrations are known for their visual simplicity and timeless appeal.

This registration was released to the open market via DVLA auction in 2018. It sold for £2,700 (hammer price). With auction fees, the estimated total paid by the buyer was £3,499.
