660 C private number plate

660 C is a dateless registration with a simple four-character format: three numbers followed by one letter. This makes for a short, clean appearance on a vehicle. Dateless registrations are highly prized for their timeless look and do not show a year identifier.

The strength of this plate lies in its concise, dateless presentation and its potential for personal initials. The single letter ‘C’ offers a popular starting point for buyers looking to represent their name, initials or a significant word. Given that personal connection is a leading reason for purchasing personalised plates, ‘C’ could appeal to a broad audience drawn to simpler, more direct representations.

The format of three numbers and one letter is a popular style, and the number 660, while not being within the single-digit range, offers a clear numerical component. Shorter registrations generally tend to have stronger market appeal, and this four-character format aligns with that preference.

This registration was released to the open market via DVLA auction in 2024. It sold for £10,010 (hammer price). With auction fees, the estimated total paid by the buyer was £12,853.
