666 X private number plate

The registration 666 X presents a striking visual appeal due to its repeating digits. This pattern, with three identical numbers followed by a single letter, creates a memorable and distinctive mark. The short, four-character format enhances its clean aesthetic, a characteristic widely appreciated by collectors. Registrations of this concise nature generally hold strong collector interest.

This dateless registration does not show a year identifier, offering a timeless look. Issued in Northumberland with the original area code X, it belongs to a format associated with the earliest registration eras in the UK. Such early-issue formats typically generate significant historical and collector appeal.

Dateless plates from this era are sought after for their clean appearance. The three-number, one-letter configuration, particularly with repeating digits like this, offers a strong visual identity. It is a format that can be of interest to those seeking a distinctive registration for personal or business use. The registration 666 X was first released to the open market via DVLA auction in 2016. It sold for £20,000 (hammer price). With auction fees, the estimated total paid by the buyer was £25,920.
