7 TBD private number plate

7 TBD is a four character dateless registration with a number first, three letters following format. It has the clean, timeless look associated with dateless registrations, with a concise layout that is easy to read. The number 7 begins the registration, and the initials TBD follow.

The inclusion of a low number such as 7 on a dateless format contributes to its appeal and scarcity. Dateless registrations from this era, broadly from the 1950s to early 1960s, are particularly sought after, and plates with fewer digits tend to be more desirable. This format, with one number followed by three letters, is a classic style that holds strong collector interest.

7 TBD was released to the open market via DVLA auction in 2019. It sold for £2,300 (hammer price). With auction fees, the estimated total paid by the buyer was £2,981.
