8 CH private number plate

8 CH presents a concise, three-character dateless registration. Its format of a single number followed by two letters is a classic layout that holds significant appeal for collectors and those seeking initials. The number 8 is a low number, generally more sought after than higher digits, and the letters CH form a strong initials combination, commonly encountered and therefore possessing broader potential appeal.

This registration directly mirrors the designation of the striking Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione. Such a direct match is likely to be of considerable interest to owners and enthusiasts of this particular model, offering a clear and distinctive motoring link.

Dateless registrations such as 8 CH do not show a year identifier, contributing to a clean and timeless aesthetic. The short, three-character format is a highly desirable characteristic, often associated with the earliest and most collectible styles of UK private registrations.

The registration 8 CH was released to the open market via DVLA auction in 2022. It sold for £56,100 (hammer price). With auction fees, the estimated total paid by the buyer was £72,032.
