8 UJ private number plate

8 UJ is a compact three-character dateless registration. Its short format contributes to a clean and uncluttered visual appeal, a characteristic highly valued by collectors. The number 8, being a very low number in the sequence of single digits, is also a significant draw for those seeking impactful registrations.

As a dateless registration, 8 UJ does not display a year identifier, giving it a timeless look. Dateless plates are typically associated with the earliest eras of vehicle registration in the UK, adding a layer of historic interest. The format of one number followed by two letters is a classic combination within the dateless system.

The initials UJ provide a personal touch, making this registration suitable for individuals whose names or surnames begin with these letters. Dateless registrations with initials hold particular appeal, as they offer a straightforward way to personalise a vehicle with a distinct personal mark.

8 UJ was released to the open market via DVLA auction in 2008. It sold for £3,400 (hammer price). With auction fees, the estimated total paid by the buyer was £4,295.
