ADS 911 private number plate

ADS 911 offers a compelling visual connection to the iconic Porsche 911. The registration directly mirrors the model designation, an obvious draw for Porsche enthusiasts and owners of this celebrated sports car. This strong automotive link provides a clear and immediate appeal to a dedicated segment of the market.

As a dateless registration, ADS 911 possesses the clean, timeless look associated with earlier UK number plates. The format, three letters followed by three numbers (three letters followed by three numbers), presents a balanced and easily readable six-character registration. It originates from the London County Council area, specifically within the circa 1932 to 1953 issue period.

The initials ADS are considered to have strong appeal. The number 911, while significant in its own right due to the Porsche connection, follows the general hierarchy where fewer digits and lower numbers typically carry stronger collector interest. However, the distinct vehicle readability of ADS 911 is its primary distinguishing feature.

This registration was released to the open market via DVLA auction in 2016. It sold for £11,000 (hammer price). With auction fees, the estimated total paid by the buyer was £14,256.
