BAS 55H private number plate

BAS 55H presents a clean, modern suffix-style format. It comprises three letters followed by two numbers and a final letter, creating a six-character registration. The repetition of the number 5 is a distinct visual feature, offering a pleasing symmetry to this contemporary plate.

This registration features the initials BAS followed by H. The 'BAS' initials, combined with the separate 'H', possess decent appeal, suggesting a broad potential audience. The number 55 adds to the plate's visual rhythm with its matching digits. The 'H' suffix, indicative of registrations issued between August 1969 and July 1970, lends a characteristic look associated with that era of UK vehicle registration. While this specific registration was released to the open market via DVLA auction in 2025, its format aligns with registrations from that period. It sold for £11,010 (hammer price). With auction fees, the estimated total paid by the buyer was £13,608.

The structure of BAS 55H, with its repeating number 5, appeals to collectors who favour distinctive patterns. This arrangement means the plate does not show a year identifier, contributing to the clean look commonly sought by enthusiasts. The format is straightforward and memorable.
