SJS 71 private number plate

SJS 71 is a dateless UK private registration with a popular three-letter, two-number format. Its compact five-character layout presents a clean and direct appearance. Registrations of this style, with letters preceding numbers, are often keenly sought after due to their association with the earliest periods of UK vehicle registration. This particular format, originally issued in the circa 1932 to 1953 window, has the timeless look associated with dateless registrations.

This plate carries the initials SJS. With strong popularity, the initials SJS represent a potentially broad audience of buyers looking for a personal identifier. Such registrations commonly appeal to individuals seeking to represent their name, a loved one's name, or a significant personal connection.

SJS 71 also holds relevance for enthusiasts of high-performance JDM vehicles, specifically the Subaru Impreza WRX STI. The 'STI' component of the initials directly mirrors this iconic performance car trim, suggesting it may appeal to owners or admirers of these models.

This registration was released to the open market via DVLA auction in 2021. It sold for £13,510 (hammer price). With auction fees, the estimated total paid by the buyer was £17,347.
