SRC 900 private number plate

SRC 900 is a dateless private registration with a classic three-letter, three-number format. This style of plate, which does not show a year identifier, has the clean look associated with dateless registrations. Such formats are broadly associated with the period between 1932 and 1953, placing it in a significant era of early UK vehicle registration.

The registration reads as SRC 900. The numerical element, 900, presents a clear round number, a recognised pattern that can hold visual appeal. The initials SRC are considered to have strong appeal. Personal connections, particularly a name or initial, are a leading motivation for many private registration buyers.

Dateless registrations, especially those from the earlier period and in a letters-first format, are historically sought after by collectors. This format avoids the age identifier inherent in later registration styles, offering a timeless appearance. The appeal of such registrations is often rooted in their historical significance and their distinctive visual identity.
