UPS 2 private number plate

UPS 2 is a short, four-character dateless registration with a three-letter and single-number format. The single digit ‘2’ lends itself to a compact display, which is often sought after. This classic letters-first layout adds to its visual appeal. The initials UPS have niche to low demand, drawing interest from a specialised audience.

This registration was released to the open market via a DVLA auction in 2023. It sold for £17,000 (hammer price). With auction fees, the estimated total paid by the buyer was £21,828. Dateless formats with a number in the 2 to 9 range are generally more sought after than higher numbers in comparable layouts, with fewer digits typically resulting in a cleaner and more memorable registration.
