WIG 2 private number plate

WIG 2 is a four-character dateless private registration. Its layout consists of three letters followed by one number. This short, clean format offers clear visual appeal, and the number 2 represents a low-value digit, generally more sought after than higher numbers. This format, with its letters-first structure and single-digit suffix, is typical of registrations from the earlier eras of UK vehicle registration.

As a dateless registration, WIG 2 does not display a year identifier, contributing to its timeless aesthetic. The initials WIG are considered to have mid-market popularity, suggesting a reasonable breadth of potential buyer appeal for those seeking their initials.

This registration has a history of market activity, having been released to the open market via DVLA auction in 2022. It sold for £5,510 (hammer price). With auction fees, the estimated total paid by the buyer was £7,075.
