6 XP private number plate

6 XP presents a distinctive and compact three-character UK private registration. Its format of a single number followed by two letters gives it a clean, modern aesthetic, and the numbers-first layout is generally more sought after for its association with earlier registration eras. The low number six offers strong visual appeal.

This registration is structured as a dateless plate, meaning it does not show a year identifier and consequently has the timeless look associated with dateless registrations. Such plates are highly desirable for their ability to be fitted to a wide range of vehicles without indicating the vehicle's age. The "XP" initials offer a distinct personalising potential, appealing to individuals or businesses seeking a unique identifier.

The plate's short format and the low number six contribute to a memorable and easily read registration. Dateless, three-character plates of this style, particularly those with single digits, generally hold significant appeal among collectors and those looking for a high-impact personal registration.

6 XP was released to the open market via DVLA auction in 2023. It sold for £31,000 (hammer price). With auction fees, the estimated total paid by the buyer was £39,804.
