7 XU private number plate

7 XU is a concise three-character dateless registration offered in a sought-after one number followed by two letters format. Its brevity contributes to a clean and impactful visual presence, characteristics typically favoured by collectors. The number 7 occupies the prominent first position, aligning with the pattern of low numbers often preferred for their distinctiveness. Paired with the letters XU, the registration presents a straightforward, numbers-first layout that does not show a year identifier, lending it the timeless look associated with dateless registrations.

The initials XU are classified as extremely rare, suggesting a significant degree of exclusivity for this specific combination. Such rarity in initials, combined with a short, dateless format, points towards a registration with considerable appeal to individuals seeking unique personal identifiers. The number 7, as a single digit, is generally considered more impactful than double-digit numbers in dateless plates, and its presence in the first position enhances the overall appeal of 7 XU.

This registration was released to the open market via DVLA auction in 2018. It sold for £9,000 (hammer price). With auction fees, the estimated total paid by the buyer was £11,664.
